Read following things to get some clarifications.
As you Know Putty is a widely used tool for connecting to remote servers and devices. Here are some reasons why people use Putty:

1. SSH connectivity: Putty provides secure encrypted connections using SSH protocol, which is essential for connecting to remote servers over the internet securely.

2. Telnet connectivity: Putty also supports Telnet protocol, which can be useful in some cases where SSH is not available.

3. Session management: Putty allows you to save your connection settings in a session file, which you can later load to quickly connect to a server. You can also create shortcuts for frequently used connections.

4. Terminal emulation: Putty provides terminal emulation for a variety of terminal types, which makes it easy to work with remote servers as if you were sitting in front of them.

5. X11 forwarding: Putty can forward X11 connections over SSH, which allows you to run graphical applications remotely.

6. Keyboard customization: Putty allows you to customize your keyboard shortcuts and map them to specific actions.

7. Port forwarding: Putty supports local and remote port forwarding, which allows you to tunnel traffic between different servers.

So these are the reasons Putty is a versatile tool that is widely used by system administrators, developers, and network engineers. Its simplicity and ease of use make it a popular choice for connecting to remote servers and devices.

How Does Putty Work?

Putty works by establishing a secure and encrypted connection to a remote server or device using the SSH or Telnet protocol. Here's a brief overview of how Putty works:

1. Configuration: Before you can connect to a remote server, you need to configure Putty with the necessary connection settings. This includes the hostname or IP address of the remote server, the type of connection (SSH or Telnet), and any authentication details such as a username and password or private key.

2. Connection: Once you've configured Putty with the necessary connection settings, you can initiate a connection to the remote server. Putty will establish a connection using the specified protocol and attempt to authenticate using the provided credentials or private key.

3. Terminal emulation: After the connection is established, Putty will provide a terminal emulation window that allows you to interact with the remote server as if you were sitting in front of it. This includes the ability to enter commands, run scripts, and view output.

4. Additional features: Putty includes a range of additional features that can be used to enhance your remote server management experience. This includes session management, port forwarding, X11 forwarding, and keyboard customization.

5. Disconnection: When you're finished working with the remote server, you can disconnect from the session using the "Close" button in the Putty window.
